Community support plays an essential role in enabling service delivery and reaching more young people in their time of need. Your efforts will assist Youth Focus to provide life-changing services to young Western Australians and help them thrive in a world where a young person’s mental health does not get in the way of them being who they want to be.
- All fundraising activities must comply with all relevant Australian State and Federal Laws
- Where necessary, I/our organisation is responsible for obtaining adequate public liability insurance with respect of the fundraising activity
- Where necessary, I/our organisation is responsible for obtaining any relevant permits and/or licences for the purposes of the fundraising activity
- I understand that Youth Focus does not carry liability insurances on behalf of fundraisers and I am responsible for obtaining relevant permits, licenses and adequate public liability insurance if required
- Youth Focus is not responsible for payment of any of the costs associated with the fundraising activity
- All monies received must be paid to the Youth Focus nominated bank account within 14 days of collection as required by regulation 11(2) of the Charitable Collections Regulations 1947
- I/our organisation must provide the Youth Focus with an accurate record of the income and expenses associated with the activity and copies of receipts and invoices for all expenses within 30 days of the activity
- All advertising and promotional materials used must clearly state that the money and goods are being collected under the authority of the licence holder
- Youth Focus Supporter Logo is not to be used without express permission and must adhere to the Supporter Logo Guidelines provided
- Any collection tins or boxes used in the fundraising activity must be sealed, consecutively numbered and clearly state that the money is being collected under the authority of the Youth Focus
- Cash collections are to be counted by a minimum of two people in a private, secure place at or immediately after the fundraising activity
- Any door to door collections may only be conducted Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9am and 6pm (as required by regulation 14(1) of the Charitable Collections Regulations 1947)
- Any telephone marketing to solicit donations or market goods to the public may only be conducted Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9am and 8pm (as required by regulation 14(2) of the Charitable Collections Regulations 1947)
- Collectors participating in any appeal should be issued with and display an identification badge which should indicate the name of the collector, the licence holder and the period that the authority shall remain in force
- No person under the age of 16 years shall act or be permitted to act as a collector
- Collectors must give a receipt for all monies received and goods sold. The receipts are to be consecutively numbered and include the name and address of the licence holder in addition to the organiser of the fundraising activity
- The fundraising activities cannot be used for personal or commercial gains and all monies collected may only be distributed to the purpose outlined in this application
- The licence holder reserves the right to withdraw authority to fundraise under their licence at any time should I/our organisation fail to meet any of the above conditions
I acknowledge that to maintain the integrity of the Youth Focus brand and reputation, funding will not be sought or received from individuals and organisations who:
• demonstrate or promote values or objectives that do not align with those of Youth Focus
• inhibit our ability to align with our commitment to reconciliation, commitment to youth safety and wellbeing, or the National Safety and Quality Mental Health Standards for Community Management Organisations
• have specific religious, political or lobby group affiliations that do not align with the values or objectives of Youth Focus
• have a known criminal background, criminal links or affiliation with illegal activities
• are involved in or support Illegal gambling or betting
• are involved in or support the tobacco industry
• are involved in or support the firearms industry
• are involved in or support the adult entertainment industry
• are involved in or support any activity that will bring Youth Focus’ reputation into disrepute
• request or attempt to gather or retain information on Youth Focus clients, donors or event attendees for their own purposes.
Youth Focus will not be publicly linked or affiliated with any organisations that fit any of the above criteria, as well as alcohol brands, in line with our commitment to Child Safety and Wellbeing.
I give permission for the free use of my name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event, including appearing in Digital media and advertising promotions for future Youth Focus events. I also give permission to be contacted by Youth Focus via email for information regarding this campaign and future Youth Focus activities
I hereby for myself, my heirs and personal representatives assume any and all risks which may be associated with the event, and I further waive, release, discharge and covenant not to sue Youth Focus, their officers, members, sponsors, organisers or other representatives or successors and assigns, for any injuries or damages of any kind whatsoever as a result of my fundraising activities
