We will send you a document which authorises you to fundraise on behalf of Youth Focus which you may need to show donors, sponsors, suppliers and other event organisers.

We'll also be able to provide you with help and guidance as and when you need it to make sure your fundraiser is as successful as it can be.

We do ask that you read our Fundraising Terms and Conditions, so that you can plan a successful fundraiser that makes a meaningful impact.

You should also consider the cost of your event in the context of your fundraising target – keeping costs as low as possible means that you’re maximising the funds that go to support our services. In general, we ask that your expenses to not exceed 40% of your total fundraising. 

A great way to keep your costs down is to ask local businesses and your networks if they can donate venues, catering and prizes.

Our fundraising team are just a phone call away to help you plan your fundaiser and make sure it is successful and enjoyable as possible. However, we cannot actually undertake tasks for you.

Once you have created your fundraising page and have been in contact with the fundraising team, you will be able to start planning the promotion of your fundraiser.

Using social media is a great way to promote your event as you will have control over the images and updates you share, and will be able to engage with people directly making your messages personalised.

You can also approach your local media who may cover your fundraiser; however it is important to speak to a member of the fundraising team first.

Your online fundraising dashboard is your own page where you can easily manage your fundraising.

You can personalise your fundraising page with your own personal story and photos, as well as email out to your friends and family to ask for support and also thank your donors.

You can add or change photos by clicking on the 'Edit My Page' tab. Follow the prompts and ensure you save your changes.

Click the 'View' link above your fundraising information to see your changes.

You can email your networks directly from the fundraising dashboard by clicking on the 'Send Email' tab. 

You can use the email template provided or write your own message to request donations.

You'll find this in your registration email. You can also try searching your name on the home page.
